Congratulations to the Medina County Fiber Network on surpassing 50 customers using the fiber network to run their businesses. This resource available to business owners throughout the county brings additional competition to telecommunication services, internet and other data needs as well as gives companies looking to relocate one more reason to come to Medina County.
Since bringing on its first customer, the Medina County Fiber Network has saved customers an average of 25% on their telecommunications and internet services including the City of Medina, Highland Schools and Automation Tool and Die.
“To try and get an internet connection in the past was very difficult. The costs went up and up. It was a “no brainer” for us to get on the Medina County Fiber Network. We can’t rationalize what we put up with in wait times,” said Randy Bennett, Co-Owner of Automation Tool and Die in Brunswick. “The relationship we have built with the Medina County Fiber Network is huge.”
“We have recently signed on a new data center and a second company that are coming to our area because we had the fiber network. Without it, they would have gone on to another county” said David Corrado, CEO of the Medina County Fiber Network.
“We are so pleased with the progress being made both in revenue to the network and in the growth to the tax base” said Ron Paydo, Chair of the Medina County Port Authority. “This bond payment we are only asking for half of the funds to come from outside the network which as a start-up telecom business is great progress in a short amount of time.”
